A cookie is a small text file which a website sends to the user terminal (or other device used to surf the internet, such as a smartphone or tablet), where information is memorized which can be reused while surfing of be retransmitted to the website that generated the cookie on the next visit by the user.

The ZIFER website uses the following cookies:
“Technical cookies”, i.e. those strictly necessary for the functioning of the website and the provision of the service explicitly requested by the user. This category of cookie includes the analytics used by the owner of the website to gather information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the website. For the use of this type of cookie, the consent of the user is not required, unless the user specifically denies it for one or all technical cookies (listed below):
- CMS Cookie: these do not contain any personal data, but an ID code necessary to recognize the user and guarantee access to the services via the website, to guarantee proper access performance to services, to maintain any configurations requested by the user and to guarantee security and the necessary access authorizations to data and services. These cookies are not permanently memorized and are eliminated when the browser is closed.
Third party “profiling cookies”, i.e. cookies potentially aimed at creating/adding to user profiles in order to send and/or show advertising messages in line with the preferences demonstrated during surfing. To use this type of cookie, the consent (voluntary) of the user is required. The user can choose which profiling cookies or technology of the fingerprinting/Clear GIF/Beacon type to agree to. For technological “third party” cookies installed/used on the website by third parties in relation to each holder, the user gives or withholds consent directly to/from the owner and/or technology in question, to which the holder simply provides a link.
